*BISALPUR DAM* Due to continuous rise in the water level of Bisalpur Dam, four gates of the dam were opened at 5:30 pm today, allowing a total flow of 36,060 cusecs of water.
This decision was taken when water movement data showed that the water level at Triveni had reached 4.20 meters. From 6 am to 5:30 pm today, 19 mm rainfall was recorded in the area, causing the water level in the dam to rise to 315.50 metres.
Water storage capacity
The total water storage capacity of the dam is 1095.84 million cubic meters (38.703 TMC), and it was decided to open the gates to keep the water level under control for safety reasons.

A total of 36,060 cusecs of water is being released from these four gates. This water flow will play an important role in stabilizing the water level of the dam in the coming days and this process will continue under the safety management of the dam.

54 villages located below the dam have already been alerted by the local administration. Due to the strong current of water, flood situation may arise in the areas, in view of which necessary preparations have been made.
